Find Arizona Foreclosures
According to the Arizona Department of Commerce, it is cheaper to live in most cities in the state of Arizona than in most metro areas in western US. Arizona has a reputation for being a retirement center, primarily because of the constant sun and warm weather most everywhere. The state is known internationally for its unsurpassed natural beauty, its pleasant desert winters, diverse cultural opportunities and its varied recreational activities. Also, the personal income tax is one of the lowest in the country, ranging from 3% to 5%. All of these reasons make it the best time to buy into Arizona foreclosures for sale. These foreclosures can bring a saving of 26%, on average, over retail home prices. Some of the best places to live are Mesa, Tucson and Scottsdale.
Scottsdale is a beautiful area right outside of Phoenix. It has a population of a little over 230,000, and because home appreciation values have dropped nearly 20% this past year, foreclosed upon homes are going very cheaply. Even though the cost of living in Scottsdale is about 29% higher than the national average, the unemployment rate is at about 6%, a full 3% below average. The area is highly desirable for families because the school system there is extremely well-respected. The boutiques there are plentiful and the shopping is fabulous and many residents swear by the dining. Some of the best neighborhoods are to be found in Cave Creek, Fountain Hills and Paradise Valley.
Mesa, Arizona is another city that is not far from Phoenix. There are about 450,000 residents and since home values have dropped by a little over 17%, foreclosed upon homes here are predominantly cheaper. Also, the cost of living in Mesa is 10.6% lower than the rest of the nation and the unemployment rate is about 7%. A few residents have indicated that the neighborhoods are friendly and schools are good a few miles from the city center. Some of the residents like the fact that Mesa is a great place to put down roots, to develop lasting friendships and raise a family. A short drive east from there is the Superstition and Usury Mountains which provides great places to hike.
Not too long ago, Tucson, Arizona was ranked 5th best place to live in America by MSN.com. Many residents swear that Tucson feels like a small town, even though it is a big city with a little over 530,000 residents. The city is a study of contrasts: from rich riparian areas to pristine deserts to urban areas. One of the safest parts of Tucson is South Tucson and the area is very reminiscent of a city in Mexico. Currently, there are approximately 17,700 foreclosures for sale to choose from. The cost of living in Tucson is about 11% lower than the national average.
It seems that almost anywhere in Arizona is a great place to live. Taking advantage of foreclosures in Arizona that cost about 26% below retail price will be beneficial to anyone who wants to raise a family in a safe, healthy environment.
